Visit Goldsboro Launches Tourism Assistance Program for Spring 2022
Visit Goldsboro, the travel and tourism department for the City of Goldsboro and Wayne County, has launched its bi-annual Tourism Assistance Program for Spring 2022. The purpose of the program is to assist organizations in the development of tourism in Goldsboro and Wayne County, and to supplement the efforts of the Wayne County Tourism Development Authority (WCTDA) and the Goldsboro Tourism Council (GTC) to increase visitation, expenditures, and overnight stays in the area.
To be eligible for assistance, activities, events or facilities/businesses must be designed to attract new visitors from outside the local community and enhance the long-term growth of the travel industry in Goldsboro and Wayne County. The program will award one $3,000 grant to a selected applicant.
The launch of the Spring 2022 program will usher in exciting opportunities for event development and create more economic impact in the Goldsboro-Wayne County area. Organizations may apply for assistance no later than 5 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2022, and the project must occur before December 31, 2022. The WCTDA and GTC will consider all applicants and award assistance at its discretion.
