Our Habitat: The Countdown is On!
Welcome back! It’s been a few months since we’ve actively shared in this space, though I know we’ve had the opportunity to share some great photos and glimpses of what’s been going on lately. It’s definitely been busy, but in all good ways!
In case you don’t follow Habitat Goldsboro-Wayne on Facebook or Instagram and are not on our email list, then we want to make sure you know that the countdown is on. What countdown is that, you ask? That’s a great question.
It’s the countdown to the completion and the celebration of our 100th new home since our founding in 2001!
What an incredible milestone and we can’t wait to celebrate that with all of you in early 2024. So stay tuned for details!
Of course 100 homes also is a good time for a bit of reflection and I’m sure we’ll be doing a lot of that over the next couple of months and even into next year as are already beginning work on home number 101. But for right now, just take a moment and think about that number. 100 homes. 100 families. More than 100 lives forever changed because you and people like cared, and still care, enough about this community and each other to step up and give back and make a difference.
That’s what community is all about – sharing God’s love for us with each other – and as we are in the full swing of the holidays, I just want to say thank you - Matt Whittle, Habitat Director
