Nothing’s Too Hard By Jessica Daly

Why instead of having complete confidence in Him, we just hope He will hear us and help us? In Jeremiah 32.17 it says, “Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”

Let us start with the word “sovereign”. This word, used to describe the Lord, means supreme ruler. Is God your supreme ruler or someone you think about when you need help and have no other place to turn? Is God the ruler of your thoughts, actions, and words? God wants to rule over you to be your provider, protector, and Savior. These are all amazing gifts but only accessed through full submission.

God is the creator of the heavens and the earth. That alone should be reason for us to follow and worship God. Knowing that EVERYTHING in heaven and on this planet was imagined and brought to reality by God and through His power should leave us in a state to wonder. He created you and I, too.

The scripture ends by reminding us that there is NOTHING too hard for God. This alone should put our minds at ease. This should give us a peace that overrides everything taking place in the crazy world around us. No matter what we face, even death, God has it covered. His Word tells us we will be with him in paradise and be with those who preceded us in death. His promise is that we have eternal life.
