2025 Mount Olive Christmas Parade Grand Marshal Announced

The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Greg Wiggins has been selected as the Grand Marshal for the 2025 Mount Olive Christmas Parade. Each year, the Christmas committee solicits nominations for this prestigious honor. Julie Beck, Mount Olive Chamber President stated, “We are honored to recognize Greg for his long-time commitment to the fire service and to our community. He served a total of 47 years in fire service including a few years at Smith Chapel Volunteer Fire Department and 41 years with the Mount Olive Fire Department.

Greg recently retired from the Mount Olive Fire Department.

Because of his diligent service to our community, he received several awards at his retirement celebration including the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, Town of Mount Olive Proclamation, and Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition to working in the fire service, Greg was involved in the community.  He coached Parks & Recreation T-ball and Little League, was a member of the Mount Olive Jaycees, served as the President of the Southern Wayne FFA Alumni Chapter and served on the Board of Adjustments for the Town of Mount Olive. Since 1978, Greg has been a Mason and twice served as the Master of the Mount Olive Masonic Lodge.
