A community gift – Child of the Promise -is now in its 18th year! This unique Broadway-style musical that chronicles God’s promise of a Messiah will be presented December 19-21 at the Paramount Theatre. Using contemporary music, Michael and Stormie Omartian (renowned author of numerous books on the power of prayer) have written scripture-based songs.
The 60 cast/crew enhanced by an 11-piece orchestra bring life to the music and lyrics of COTP. This musical demonstrates the birth of Christ that was foretold centuries before the event. In this busy season, the COTP ministry in Wayne County strives to make people sensitive to the real Christmas message - the Incarnation of God Himself through that birth! COTP Co-producer Anita Norris states “Being a part of COTP is my gift to Jesus, and I enjoy being with my COTP family.”
Wayne County is honored to be the longest running venue for Child of the Promise, and we are encouraged by the support of the community, the excitement of the cast and crew, and the awareness afresh of the long-awaited Messiah’s birth – the Child of the Promise - over 2000 years ago.
