Applications are now being accepted for the August 2021 Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLET). The Police Officer Trainee will attend Basic Law Enforcement Training and perform miscellaneous duties to include clerical and other tasks as needed. Duties may include work to be done inside as well as outside in a wide variety of environmental conditions.

The Police Officer Trainee is basically an in-training position for someone who has not completed training and academic requirements established by the N.C. Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission as a fully qualified or certified Police Officer.

Starting Trainee Salary; $34,925.65
