His Path
“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!” Romans 11:33
As followers of Jesus we are told specifically throughout His Word to trust in the plan God has for our lives. That sounds great in the good times while things are working in our favor, but we quickly become fearful and doubt Him as soon as things get messy. When we realize certain things are beyond our control we begin to think the worst and believe the lies of the enemy. Life in this world is not easy and Jesus reinforced that when He told us “in this world you will have tribulation”.
What I continue to realize is that God’s wisdom and knowledge are above anything I can fathom or begin to grasp. While I honestly believe God loves to see me gain the desires of my hearts, these desires must align with Him and His plan for my life. If I want something that the world convinces me I need I can find myself disillusioned when things don’t work out the way I thought they should or better yet, as quickly as I wanted.
When we hand over the controls to God and trust Him it is amazing what can happen. I have witnessed this in my own life time and time again. People ask me, “Jessica, how do you know when God does something in
your life?” I know when things take place that I could not have ever arranged or orchestrated. I know when doors of opportunity open at the least expected time and He uses the least expected people to move me forward and bless me beyond anything I could have imagined.
I challenge you to begin praying for God to lead your life and show you when to move forward and when to stay still and when to speak and when to listen. Just these simple things can make all the difference in your life. God wants what’s best for you but above all He wants glory. Be sure and give all the praise and credit to the One who deserves it so greatly!
