Distinguished Young Woman of Wayne County

On August 25, Caroline Foy was named the Distinguished Young Woman of Wayne County during the scholarship program held in the Wayne Community College Auditorium. Caroline also won a preliminary award in the area of self expression.

Also participating in the event were first runner up, Rainee Coakley, who won preliminaries in fitness, talent and for her Be Your Best Self Essay; Allison Whitfield who received an award preliminaries in fitness, interview, and self expression: and Rebecca Eliassaint who received the Spirit award as well as the preliminary for overall scholastics. Jasmine Jahad received a preliminary award for interview and Taylor Harvey for talent.

Altogether the young ladies who participated received a total of $5250 in cash scholarships during the evening. Caroline is a senior at the Wayne School of Engineering and will go on to represent Wayne County in the State program held in Greensboro in January.
