Dr. David T. Tayloe Jr. is Wayne Community College’s newest trustee. Tayloe was sworn in and attended his first meeting of the board on July 25. He is a pediatrician known for his advocacy for children’s health and safety, literacy, and early reading. He was appointed by Gov. Roy Cooper.
The governor appoints four trustees to each community college board of trustees in the state. The term of office for the appointment is four years.

On Saturday, August 5th at approximately 2:34 a.m. the clerk at the Circle K Convenience Store, located at 2101 Wayne Memorial Drive called the communications center to report a “big group of people fighting” in the parking lot.
