There are 350 homebound senior citizens that receive Meals on Wheels in Wayne County. The Meals on Wheels program is federally funded to provide not only a nutritionally balanced meal but also daily socialization. Many of the clients deal with severe cases of depression due to isolation. The daily hot meals deliveries our clients receive turned into weekly frozen meals when the pandemic hit.
