Farm Credit Farmer’s Market

A storytime full of stories, songs, and craft for families at the Farm Credit Farmer’s Market behind the Maxwell Center.


Summer Learning Kickoff

Saturday, June 3 10:00 am

Families are invited to celebrate the beginning of the Summer Learning Program! The kickoff will have free community resources, outdoor games and activities, face-painting, popsicles, NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Poetry Fox, and more!


Improve your Soft Skills Tuesday, June 6 6:30 pm Soft skills, which include communication, problem solving, critical thinking, etc. are crucial to getting and holding a job. Learn why these often-overlooked skills are important to have, why they matter in hiring, and how you can improve yours.

Learn NC LIVE Basics! Friday, June 16 3:00 pm NC LIVE is North Carolina’s statewide library cooperative, supporting 200+ public and academic libraries across the state. It houses an abundance of databases, videos, books, and much more! Come learn how to find what you’re looking for.


Paint & Sip Coffee Tuesday, June 20 7:00 pm Come paint with us! We’ll paint a different picture each month, based on a beginner’s instructional video. Coffee and art supplies provided for free–just bring your desire to paint!


Local History Book Club Thursday, June 22 6:00 pm Join us for a discussion about Junius Wilson, who spent seventy-six years at a state mental hospital in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He was never declared insane by a medical professional or found guilty of any criminal charge. Unspeakable by Susan Burch and Hannah Joyner is his story.
