Trump, Biden Expected to Visit North Carolina on Monday
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — While Donald Trump comes to western North Carolina to promote his own candidacy, Vice President Joe Biden will be in the Triangle helping a group that backs Democratic candidates for governor like Attorney General Roy Cooper.
Biden was the big-named guest in the Raleigh area at a private fundraiser Monday for the Democratic Governors Association. Meanwhile Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, was expected to hold a rally early Monday evening in Asheville's downtown arena.
The vice president also scheduled a public event late Monday morning at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte. The White House says Biden would talk about efforts by President Barack Obama's administration to help businesses and community colleges expand the middle class. Obama and Biden leave office in January.
