Person Shot in Goldsboro

On 07/22/2016 at approximately 1:06 p.m. the Goldsboro Police Department officers responded to a call that someone had been shot and was being transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital. The victim, Atiya Maddox a 19 year old female, was pronounced deceased at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The incident is reported to have occurred near the intersection of Olivia Lane and Slaughter Street. The investigation is on-going.
