NC to Host Both Trump and Clinton Rallies on Tuesday
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Both the expected major party candidates for president in 2016 will visit North Carolina on Tuesday.
Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has announced his own visit to the state, holding a rally Tuesday evening at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh.
Earlier this week, presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton announced her own campaign stop with President Barack Obama on Tuesday afternoon at the Charlotte Convention Center.
Both campaigns think they can win North Carolina and its 15 electoral votes. Obama won the state in 2008, but lost it to Republican nominee Mitt Romney in 2012.
