Optimist Club Assists Local Child and Family
This year’s proceeds of the $1,081 from the Optimist Club’s annual “Kisses for Cancer” or Childhood Cancer Campaign was presented to Skylar Brielle Howell and her family at the Optimist Club’s meeting on June 17th.
Skylar has bilateral retinoblastoma, a form of eye cancer that affects both of her eyes. The money will be used by the family to help with the travel expenses associated with Skylar’s treatments at Duke Hospital.
