Wayne County’s Homebound Citizens Need You!

There are 350 homebound senior citizens that receive Meals on Wheels in Wayne County.

The Meals on Wheels program is federally funded to provide not only a nutritionally balanced meal but also daily socialization. Many of the clients deal with severe cases of depression due to isolation.

The daily hot meals deliveries our clients receive turned into weekly frozen meals when the pandemic hit. This transition was to ensure the safety of our clients and volunteers.

We are now working to get all 25 of our routes hot again to make sure each client will receive a delicious hot meal and a wellness check daily.

We need Volunteers to help fill these routes to deliver hot meals and check on our most frail citizens. Can you please give a few hours of your time each week? Please help spread the word.
