National Honey Bee Day Celebration August 19th Everyone is Invited!

Beekeepers of the Neuse will be hosting "National Honey Bee Day Celebration" on August 19, 9am-3pm at Waynesborough Park, Hwy 117 S. Goldsboro, NC

The celebration is a family oriented event with a children's activity center the "Bee Hive", a hive of working bees, beekeepers on hand to answer questions about beekeeping, 4-H dance group De Colores, music by the Flat Mountain Dulcimers, Fat Frank and the Flank Spankers and unique food vendors,plus home-made ice cream!

There will be crafts and candle-making demo/participation by a representative from Charles B. Aycock Birthplace, unique vendors with agriculture themed products, the Eastern Carolina Vintage Farm Equipment Club "swap & sale" and much more for the entire family to enjoy!

The club's goal is to educate the public about the importance of the North Carolina State insect the honey bee and have fun while doing so.
