Does everything seem just a little chaotic these days? Shopping for school supplies is just a little more expensive, grocery prices continue to rise and the Atlantic Ocean just might spin a hurricane our way.

It seems storms are brewing everywhere. Are you prepared to weather the storm, either a hurricane or a financial emergency? If you want to be more prepared for life’s storms or you just want to stretch your dollar a little more, come join us in the gym at First Presbyterian Church on Thursday, September 25, 2025, for Weathering the Storm, our Fall Financial Fair. We have tips on how to save money on groceries, utilities, and more.

Someone will be on hand with information on creating an emergency fund, avoiding scams and price gouging. All this chaos can create stress, so we have ideas for self-care on a budget. Members from the local banking community will be available to answer questions and offer advice. Refreshments will be provided.

And we didn’t forget the kids. There will be activities and giveaways for everyone. Ten lucky folks will win a grocery or gas card. Come join us for an evening of fun, even as we tackle some pretty serious issues.*Food and giveaways available while supplies last.
