Jo Ann Logan is one of the true unsung heroes of Wayne Community College—a dedicated supporter who works quietly behind the scenes, never seeking recognition but always making a tremendous impact.
As a core member of the Wayne Community College Foundation’s Scholarship Invitational Golf Committee, Jo Ann plays an essential role in making our largest annual fundraiser a success. She has taken the lead in organizing the tournament’s growing pickleball component, coordinating the many details it takes to bring players, sponsors, and volunteers together. Under her leadership, the pickleball tournament has become an important part of the Invitational, generating thousands of dollars in revenue that directly supports scholarships for Wayne Community College students.
And her work certainly doesn’t stop there. Jo Ann is also instrumental in securing items for the Invitational’s silent and live auctions, reaching out to businesses, friends, and community partners to help make the auctions successful year after year. Her relationships throughout Wayne County—and her willingness to simply pick up the phone and ask—make an enormous difference.
Jo Ann is a familiar and trusted face throughout our community. She brings energy, reliability, generosity, and a genuine love for Wayne Community College to everything she does. Much of her work happens long before anyone arrives at the golf course or steps onto the pickleball court.
Jo Ann may prefer to work behind the scenes, but her impact is front and center. We simply could not do what we do without her.
