The 74th Annual Wayne RegionalAgricultural Fair Starts Thursday, September 28th!

Wayne County’s Fairgrounds will soon be filled with laughing children, friends connecting, rides and games, and your favorite fair food. The 74th Annual Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair will open on Thursday, September 28 and run through Saturday, October 7.


Powers Great American Midway’s carnival will return with 45 thrilling rides. An exciting lineup of entertainment includes Las Vegas Juggler Michael Goudeau, Comedy Hypnotist Grayson Matchett, Agricadabra Magic Shows, Carrie McQueen the Ultimate Stiltwalker, Rock-it the Robot, and back by popular demand Pianist Leon Jacobs. In addition, the fair offers countless opportunities for youth and adults to showcase their skill in a wide range of contests that includes hand crafts, baking, talent, cheerleading, showing animals, and various agriculture, trade and academic contests.

There will be a big change in exhibit entry this year. All youth and adult competitive exhibits excluding animals, prepared foods, cut flowers and foliage, flower arrangements, container plants, horticulture and field crops will be accepted on Saturday, September 23 from 9 AM until 12 Noon and Monday, September 25 from 4 - 8 PM. The animal and perishable entries not accepted on Saturday and Monday will be accepted Wednesday, September 27 from 4 - 8 PM and Thursday, September 28 from 8 - 10:30 AM.


General admission will be $10 for ages 13 and older and $5 for school-age youth under 13. Children under 5 are admitted free. Wristbands for rides are $35 and are good for the entire day. Several opportunities are available to save money such as advance purchase, the Southern Bank Car Load Special on opening night, and school tickets for free gate admission on Monday and Tuesday for school age youth.
