T. Davis Comes Home as Ashley McBryde’s Opener for NC Freedom Fest

It’s been over a year and a half since T. Davis (Tyler Davis) moved with his wife Bri to Nashville, TN to continue chasing his dreams as a singer-songwriter and artist. Since the move he’s released two singles, “US Highway 50” and “Devil’s Got Work to Do,” and he has a third, “Fix It,” set for release on September 11th, the day before he takes the stage at NC Freedom Festival in downtown Goldsboro. Since the move he’s become a regular at some of Nashville’s well-known songwriter rounds like The Music Row Freakshow, and he made his debut at the famed Bluebird Cafe August 9th. 

T has performed at NC Freedom Festival several times over the years, but he’s excited for this opening set to be his first performance in North Carolina since moving to Nashville. “I can’t wait to share these new songs with everyone back home in Wayne County, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to open for Ashley. She’s a songwriter’s songwriter, who brings in outside songs on her records. It’s an honor to share a stage with someone who uses her platform to uplift others.” 

On Sunday September 13th he’s also doing a homecoming show at The Venue in Fremont from 2-5pm. He played his first solo acoustic show at that location in 2008, and he sees this as a full-circle moment.
