Maxwell Center Getting Back to Business!

After facing the impacts of COVID-19, The Maxwell Center is excited to announce event restrictions have lifted greatly and they are now able to host a majority of events. Based on the facility size and capacity, and following strict health and safety guidelines, guests are once again allowed at Wayne County’s regional conference and convention center.

“The Maxwell Center staff is committed to follow protocols dedicated to the continuous cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitation of all public and event spaces. The venue provides numerous hand sanitizing stations for guests and is compliant with the national mask mandate,” said General Manager James Wade Jr.

The Governor’s latest executive order eases restrictions on larger venues who have several entrances and exits, large concourses, and those that can easily and safely socially distance their patrons. This order gives clearance to venues, such as The Maxwell Center - whose capacity under normal circumstances could accommodate up to 2,000 guests, to be open to more events and activities.

“Soon corporate trainings, 4-H events, board meetings, banquets, and family functions will be returning to The Maxwell Center. As restrictions on gatherings continue to ease and Wayne County navigates best practices for keeping citizens safe, The Maxwell Center looks forward to hosting more people,” says Wade.

Whether in business or social life, face to face interaction with co-workers, family, and friends is a specialty of The Maxwell Center staff. The Maxwell Center offers safe and socially distanced space. They provide set-up options which make you feel confident in booking your upcoming gathering.
