GOLDSBORO, NC — The Goldsboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with Period Kits NC, the United Way of Wayne County, the Goldsboro YMCA, and Wayne Uplift Resource Association, proudly announced the success of the 2025 United for Access campaign — a city-wide initiative to collect and distribute feminine hygiene products to women and girls in need to help foster healthier communities.

The campaign, which ran from May through July 2025, culminated in a large-scale kit-building event on August 2, 2025, where volunteers assembled 2,000 period kits. Each kit was designed to provide essential menstrual care items to support dignity, health, and uninterrupted participation in daily life for recipients.

Thanks to the generosity of the Goldsboro community, the effort resulted in the collection of 24,488 donated products, alongside nearly $2,000 in monetary contributions to help sustain the initiative. All collected items were donated to Period Kits NC, which will distribute them throughout the community to ensure they reach those most in need.

The Goldsboro Alumnae Chapter extends its gratitude to Period Kits NC, the United Way of Wayne County, the Goldsboro YMCA, Wayne Uplift Resource Association, community donors, and the dedicated volunteers who made the 2025 campaign a success.
