On May 16, 2026, the Goldsboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. hosted its annual May Week Luncheon at the ADLA Building in Mount Olive. Centered around the theme, “Elevating Excellence in Our Community,” the event brought together chapter members, community leaders, and honored guests for an afternoon of fellowship, reflection, and recognition. Guests enjoyed a delicious luncheon prepared by ADLA, Incorporated while celebrating the chapter’s commitment to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. A special highlight of the program was a performance by Alexis Thompson of ArtXecute, who delighted attendees with her rendition of “Tomorrow” from the musical Annie. The chapter also recognized several outstanding community partners for their contributions and impact. Barbara Jones accepted recognition on behalf of ArtXecute, Danny King accepted recognition on behalf of ADLA, and musician Benjamin Johnson was honored for his continued contributions to the community through music. The Goldsboro Alumnae Chapter extends its sincere appreciation to all who attended and helped make this year’s May Week celebration a success.
