MAGGIE Breed: Shih-Tzu/Poodle Mix

Maggie is a total SWEETHEART. She’s cute, affectionate and loves snuggling in your lap. She weighs just 9 lbs.
Maggie was adopted from the Wayne County Animal Shelter when she was 4 years old by a loving couple. She enjoyed the good life with her family and was very well taken care of.
Now, at 12 years old, Maggie finds herself in need of a new home. Her mom passed away and her dad is in a nursing home. Sadly, she has lost her favorite people, but we believe that she can find another special home to live out the rest of her life.
She sleeps all night, naps during the day and is house-trained. She’s great with other dogs and loves to eat! Her favorite food is chicken!
Maggie may be 12, but she can be found throwing toys across the room and chasing them as well as running around the backyard with the other dogs. She loves to go on walks and gets plenty of exercise following her foster mom around the house. She’s so curious about what’s going on.
She would be fine in a home with no other pets, but has done very well with her three foster fur-sisters who weigh between 11 and 15 lbs. Maggie will require regular grooming, so please prepare for that cost.
Maggie is crate-trained but loves to sleep on the sofa, beside you, in your lap or preferably your bed!

Maggie is being fostered by Diamonds in the Ruff Canine Rescue (DITR) An application is required along with a home visit and small adoption fee.
* Fenced in yard required (no invisible or electric fencing) * Applicants must be 25 yrs. or older.
All DITR dogs are fostered in homes and are INDOOR dogs.
Being a responsible dog owner means teaching your dog to be a good house pet and putting in the time and effort to make them a part of the family.
