Tie Dye By Eli
Goldsboro’s Eli Wilson, nine year old entrepreneur and CEO of Tie Dye by Eli, presented a very generous donation of $300 to Literacy Connections Board Member, Camelia Walker (right) and Executive Director, Suzie Acree (left) as his way of giving back to an organization that helps people learn to read. Eli himself has dyslexia that makes school really challenging for him, so Literacy Connections is an organization close to him.
Eli has been designing masks, tee shirts, and tote bags through his business that he has been running out of his garage since COVID-19 began. Eli’s summer project was to learn math and real world skills by developing his own business. A portion of the proceeds goes to a charity of Eli’s choice the other portion of the proceeds will go straight to him, because he likes to buy video games that his parents say no to! To date Eli has donated $600 to charity. He has sold his products to people all across the U.S.
