Eastern Wayne High School’s Cadet Michael Morgan

Goldsboro’s Cadet Michael Morgan Cadet Morgan graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2013. After graduating from St Augustine University, Cadet Morgan was commissioned on December 7, 2019 serving as the Falcon Battalion Commander, where he is responsible for leading over sixty cadets.

Recently, Cadet Morgan selected to attend the George C. Marshall Leadership and Awards Seminar at Fort Leavenworth, KS, where he received the George C. Marshall Award. This award is given to cadets who show academic excellence, leadership and physical fitness within their programs.

Throughout the seminar, Cadet Morgan took part in seminars and round table discussions with Army and Defense experts on critical defense and geopolitical matters, and the profession of arms. This exposure to contemporary civilian and military leaders at a high level provided Cadet Morgan with unique opportunities that are not part of the normal college ROTC curriculum.
