Update...He has been Arrested! Wanted.....Homicide Investigation

On June 26, 2016 the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the 900 block of Carver Drive in reference to a subject being shot. Upon arrival officers discovered Michael Jerome Wimbush Jr., a 19 year old male, as an apparent victim of gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical personnel responded and confirmed that the victim was deceased. Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Section responded and with the assistance of B-Shift personnel initiated an investigation into Mr. Wimbush’s death. Jacques Torraine Atkinson, 19 years old, was developed as the suspect.Jacques Torraine Atkinson is wanted on an open count of Murder. The investigation into Mr. Wimbush’s death continues. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
