Habitat for Humanity Your Help is Needed! By Matt Whittle Habitat Executive Director

March is here and the first the day of spring is quickly approaching.

Personally, I love the cold. My two boys and I are a bit disappointed that we didn’t get a real snowfall this year (at least as of my writing this). But, from a professional, home-building standpoint, I’m praying for warmer temperatures, plenty of sunshine and much, much less rain.

It has been a wet winter and for Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne, that has meant a number of days lost off of our construction schedule. So we need your help!

After months of unpleasant weather, dreary skies and cold temperatures, what better way to kick off spring than to come out and spend time on a Habitat job site? It’s a chance for fresh air and exercise, and it’s an opportunity to give back to your community.

Spring is a time of new beginnings and that’s what your help will be providing for our families – a fresh start at life.

Having a safe, simple, decent and affordable home is a big part of stability and success. For our qualified, low- to moderate-income homebuyers, purchasing a Habitat home can be a first step toward better health, improvements in school and a stronger financial future.

Want to be a part of somebody’s fresh start? Volunteer at one of our job sites or if hammers aren’t your thing, come by the ReStore. We also are a 501c3 organization and your donations are tax-exempt. Contact us today – 919-736-9592, executive@habitatgoldsboro.org or www.habitatgoldsboro.org
