Longtime City of Goldsboro Receptionist Retires By Dan Wroblewski
Starting in January, long time City of Goldsboro receptionist, Linda Braswell will no longer be greeting everyone with her wonderful smile and happy voice. Linda decided that it was time to retire and spend some quality time with her family and do some traveling that she’s always wanted to do.
Linda started with the City of Goldsboro 13 years ago with the Public Works, Code Enforcement and as Administrative Assistant in 2001. She also served in the City Manager’s Office, the Planning Department and as the receptionist at the front desk since 2006.
Born and raised in Wayne County and Goldsboro, during her “early” years Linda helped manage her family-owned business. She has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Besides traveling Linda says she loves to shop and decorate and will be spending lots of time doing both. Linda states, “It has been a pleasure working for the City of Goldsboro and helping and getting to know thousands of citizens of Goldsboro over the years.”
Good luck Linda on your new adventure!
