Literacy Connections is looking for people with a desire to help their neighbors grow and learn. You can help by becoming a one-on-one tutor for an adult student. Tutors can meet with a student in person. Tutoring schedules are flexible in order to meet student’s and tutor’s needs. We only ask for two hours a week! Tutors will gain teaching experience. The annual Wayne County Veterans and Patriots Coalition’s Veterans Day Parade will be held this year in downtown Goldsboro, Tuesday November 11. Our Grand Marshall this year will be WWII Army Combat Veteran Thurston Quinn. Mr. Quinn will be celebrating his 100th birthday on Dec 14th.
