Tuesday, June 2, 6:00pm: Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. Invitations will be sent to our volunteers. We look forward to sharing our appreciation for the many efforts of our outstanding volunteers.
Saturday, June 14, 1:00-3:00pm: Annual Juneteenth Event for Children and Families. There will be cultural arts and crafts, dance, children's theater, poetry, a Black History scavenger hunt, story readings, information about the history and significance of the holiday, face painting and refreshments. Free.
Tuesday, June 24, 6:30-8:30pm: Trivia Night. Opening up the Ballroom for a night of fun. Compete in teams of up to four individuals to answer questions in five categories (Wayne County, Geography, Before & After, This Week in History, Connections). No phones allowed!
Saturday, June 28, 1:00-3:00pm: Stars and Stripes Independence Day Program for Children and Families – The event will begin with a reader’s theater play of “Lady Liberty for Kids” at 1:00pm. Other activities include face painting, a scavenger hunt, ice cream on the lawn, refreshments, arts and crafts, and a photo op area. Free.
