Local Band Releases 1st Album!

On August 1, 2023, local praise and worship band, Northbound Worship, released their first studio album titled “Upon the Cross.” The seven-track album features two original songs, “Upon the Cross” and “Jesus Christ is Lord”, written by lead guitarist Randy Rose. Northbound Worship began recording at Thunder Road Studios in Elm City in February 2023.

“This project was a long time in the making” explains singer Richard Phillips, “It provides a message of hope, healing and salvation for those with hurts, habits and hang-ups by leading them to the message of the cross.”

The band is comprised of singers and musicians with many years of experience in music ministry, some of which include prison and soup kitchen outreach. “Upon the Cross” is available on all streaming platforms to listen and download. CD and USB versions of the album are available for purchase in the band’s online store www.northboundworship.com along with other band merchandise. The group, which also books for events and church services, has been invited to a Worship and Community Outreach Event in Fort Ann, New York during the month of September.
