Lilies for Literacy
Lilies for Literacy is Literacy Connections' annual spring fundraiser and is a great way to spread joy to families and friends and support literacy in our community. In Wayne County, 21% of adults qualify as non- or very low-level readers, reading below a third-grade level, unable to complete a simple form or respond to brief written questions. Perhaps more importantly, children from homes where parents have low literacy are 72% more likely to be low-level readers also.
These gorgeous lilies are traditional, white Easter lily plants with at least three to five blooms on each plant. They stand about 18 inches tall and have an attractive foil pot cover. We sell the purple bows separately for those who want them.
Individually, plants costs $15, but the price is reduced to $12.50 each when you purchase 2 or more.
We will deliver bulk orders of six or more plants in Wayne County, or you can pick-up your order at Literacy Connections, 2001 E. Ash Street next to the Senior Center during our pickup days/times.
Gift someone a lily in Wayne County for only $20, and we will hand deliver it for you.
Pick-up and delivery will be Monday, March 25 through Wednesday, March 27 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
You can place an order with cash or check by calling 919.735.1990 or with a debit/credit card online at https://www.literacyconnectionsofwaynecounty.org/liliesforliteracy
