Believe in The Christmas Promise!

The Holiday season comes with many messages and we have been subliminally seduced by them all. Our ever-increasing secular society has distracted us from the true reason for celebration in December. The only message we should be hearing in December is the most important, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the only reason for this season.

Our secular society has pushed this message further and further from our minds, disrupting the significance of the season with any and all forms of sparkle and charm, glamour and glitz… a scam job, watering down the message so much, that for many it is only another day that never quite hits its mark. Ultimately leaving souls with the “high” that never lasts, the empty feeling that never fills that space inside that gives us our spirit.

However, if we ignore the “noise” surrounding us, and open ourselves to the warm light of THE Christmas Promise, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we will experience the fullness of this season of PEACE, HOPE, JOY, FAITH and everlasting LOVE. BELIEVE in this promise every day; the promise that walks beside you, lightens your burden, never abandons you, searches for you when you are lost and brings you home on the last day. “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government is upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

Presently so many are struggling on multiple fronts, this message, in my opinion, should be elevated to a critical alert. So, Wayne County, spread the word “that Jesus Christ is born!”

Wishing you and all those you hold dear a Merry Christmas!
