Crumbles, Bull Terrier Mix (DOB: 10/28/18)

Thursday, July 30, 2020

Crumbles is a very handsome young adult male Bull Terrier mix. Weighing just 40 lbs, this little guy is submissive to other dogs and LOVES to play fetch. He almost looks like a Dalmatian with his coloring.

Crumbles loves to play! He plays hard and runs fast. His favorite game involves chasing a ball. Crumble loves kids and other dogs – once he gets used to them. He also gets along well with cats and even pigs. He is not too submissive or too demanding, but has a calm demeanor. So far his only issue is being reactive on a leash with other dogs and we are working on this issue.

Crumbles had some hair loss when we first rescued him and we worked with our vet to determine the best treatment. Crumbles has allergies and was given medication to treat and control the itching and inflammation.

We have decided to take Crumbles to the Integrative Healing Veterinary Clinic in New Bern to search for other long term solutions. www.integrativehealingvet.com Crumbles has started a treatment plan of acupuncture, laser treatments and herbal therapies. He is looking and feeling so good.

Crumbles has been taken off of the medication (Apoquel) because he is doing so well with the supplements provided by the Healing Veterinary Clinic. This is great news for Crumbles!

Crumbles is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and being maintained on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. He is house-trained and crate-trained. He has learned the SIT and DOWN commands already.

According to his foster mom, Crumbles has a foot fetish. If you walk around barefoot, you’re liable to get your toes nibbled! As evening nears and the day has settled down, Crumbles approaches his foster parents with a toy and grumble and holds his head up high with pride

If you’re looking for a new family member who is active and playful, consider inviting Crumbles into your life.

Crumbles is being fostered by Diamonds in the Ruff Canine Rescue (DITR).
An application is required, along with a home visit and small adoption fee.
