2 Charged With Killing 71-Year-Old Kinston Shop Owner
KINSTON, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say they have charged two men with killing a 71-year-old woman shot last month in her Kinston business.
Lenoir County deputies told media outlets that 32-year-old Robert Lewis and 36-year-old Edward Garrett were in custody early Saturday morning.
Investigators said Marilyn Noble was found dead June 11 in the makeup and perfume shop she recently opened. Investigators say it used to be a sweepstakes business.
Both men are charged with first-degree murder and robbery. They remain in jail and it wasn't known if they had lawyers.
