Eastern Wayne High School Warrior Club’s Pig Skin Cook Off

The Eastern Wayne High School Warrior Club will hold a Pig Skin Cook Off during Homecoming weekend October 23-24, 2015. The North Carolina Pork Council sanctions this event and the winner will be eligible to participate in the 2016 North Carolina Whole Hog Barbeque State Championship.

The cook teams will get started Friday night during the Eastern Wayne-D H Conley football game. Judging is set to start at 7 am on Saturday morning. The barbecue plate sales will run Saturday, October 26th from 11am to 2 pm and be available at Eastern Wayne High School, 1135 E. New Hope Road. Tickets are $8. The plates will include BBQ pork, cole slaw, potatoes and hush puppies.
