Veterans Day Parade in Wayne County

Every year Americans observe November 11th as Veterans Day and Wayne County honors our Veterans with an annual parade.

The parade begins at 11 am Tuesday in downtown Goldsboro.

So, why do we remember and honor our Veterans on November 11?

It was on that day in 1918, that the First World War came to an end with the signing of the Armistice by the German forces. This day went down in history as one of the most crucial days for humanity.

A wreath laying ceremony will be held following the parade at 1 pm at the Veterans Memorial Park. Please come out and attend the parade and ceremony to honor our Veterans.
