Something New and Exciting is Coming to Goldsboro This Summer

The premiere of Goldsboro’s first escape room experience

Can you escape downtown? Well now is your chance to find out! Downtown Escapes is a real-life escape room game in which a group of friends, family, coworkers or even strangers find themselves ‘locked’ in a themed room. Clues to aid in their success are hidden throughout to help them accomplish their mission, and ultimately, escape. Players must work together as a team, use deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills and solve a series of puzzles and codes to break out in the allotted amount of time.

Set to open July 28th, Downtown Escapes features different room themes- The Heist (July) and Decipher (August.) Each room will have a different mood, design, size and level of difficulty, but the time limit for each remains the same—60 minutes to get out. Themes of the rooms will be changed on a rotating basis to periodically give players new challenges, and other additional rooms will be added in the upcoming months.

Jared and Amanda Grantham, owners of Downtown Escapes, are self-proclaimed escape room enthusiasts and are excited to bring this adventure to the heart of their hometown. After successfully hosting one as a fundraiser for global missions at their local church, The Bridge Church, they wanted to make this fun opportunity available right here in Goldsboro.

Prior to opening, the Granthams will be launching several exciting contests to their social media fans and newsletter subscribers. People interested in having the opportunity to be among the first to experience Downtown Escapes and win prizes should visit the website and follow them on social media outlets.

Downtown Escapes will be located in historic downtown Goldsboro at 208 E Walnut Street, near the Arts Council. Beginning July 10, players will be able to book their group’s escape room experience online at www.DowntownEscapes.com
