The 7th annual Warm the World Mission Day is scheduled for Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 8a.m. at First Baptist Church of Goldsboro, 125 S. John St.

First Baptist Church is hosting with donations and support from many other local churches and businesses in the community. 2015 brought over 500 guests who began standing in line waiting at 3a.m. "The need is even greater this year with the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, " said church member Jerry Phillips. "With so many people experiencing devastating loss, we want to provide warmth with a hot meal and warm blanket," said church member John Casey.

Warm the Word is all about helping others in need by handing out free gently used and new coats, hats, gloves, blankets, sleeping bags and more! Hot breakfast is served at 8a.m.
