Goldsboro locals, Esther Ivey Nagypal and Marlowe Ivey Vaughn, are behind the new specialty grocery and gift shop, Heritage Farms General Store. In 2011, Nagypal and Vaughn founded Heritage Farms Cheshire Pork, which markets premium pork raised right here in Wayne County to the foodservice industry. Last fall they opened the Heritage Farms General Store to share their passion of food and gifts with a story.
At this new local gem, you will be delighted to find a tastefully culled assortment of unique and interesting provisions. The store offerings range from their own brand of premium Cheshire Pork bacon, tenderloin, charcuterie, and hams to creative gift items, all natural bath products, locally sourced foods, and of course Heritage Farms apparel.
On February 13th, the entire community is invited to celebrate the store’s grand opening from 11am – 2pm. Jeff Hart & the Ruins will be playing Americana classics while we serve down home pig pickin’ with all the fixins’. A ribbon cutting ceremony, yard games, and a bounce house for the kiddos will round out this day of family fun! During the event Heritage Farms General Store merchandise will be marked down by 15%! BBQ plates will be on sale for $10 each; all proceeds will be donated to the Community Soup Kitchen.
Stop by to visit the store at 145 Arrington Bridge Road in Goldsboro or you can visit us on the web at www.heritagecheshire.com. The team at the Heritage Farms General Store looks forward to greeting you with their down home southern hospitality!
