CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Harris Teeter is looking to hire nearly 3,000 new employees, including 600 in the Charlotte area.
The North Carolina-based grocer tells media outlets in a news release that the available positions range from part-time cashiers and department clerks to full-time department heads and assistant store managers.
Harris Teeter spokeswoman Danna Robinson says the company plans to open 10 new stores in 2016.
The company has created more than 1,050 new jobs this year in its stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, Delaware, Florida and the District of Columbia.
The store will host a hiring event for its newest Charlotte location on Aug. 18 at Steelecroft Shopping Center. Interested candidates are invited to visit the company's online job listings at hiring.harristeeter.jobs to apply.
